ALICE LOUISE ROBTERSON
Marion-Alice Louise Robertson 74 of Marion went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 23, 2012 at 7:45 A.M. at the Herrin Hospital.
She was born on May 28, 1937 in Alto Pass the daughter of Ardell and Geraldine (Pruitt) Batson. She married Henry Esco Maynor in 1951. They had five children, Judy K. Edwards, James A. Maynor, Henry Wayne Maynor, Alice Rose Brown, and Jackie R. Maynor. Esco preceded her in death in January 1960.
Alice married Lee Roy Fann in 1963. They had one son, Kenneth Leroy Fann. Lee Roy preceded her in death in January of 1964. She married Clifton "Bandy" Robertson in 1966. They had two daughters, Tammy Chamness and Toni Anderson. Bandy preceded her in death in March 2006.
Alice loved to do arts and crafts, and loved listening to music and dance.
Also surviving are her siblings, a brother, Paul Batson and wife Karen of Lerna, a brother Dean Vaughn and wife Bernadine, a sister, Ellen (Sis) Robertson and husband James (Bo) all of Carterville, a brother Claude Vaughn of Cambria, a sister Flossie Wells and husband Jerry of Mulkeytown; 28 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren,; 1 great-great, grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ralph Vaughn, Rickey Vaughn, and Sonny Batson; one daughter, Alice Rose Brown; three grandchildren, Henry Wayne Maynor Jr., Kevin Brown, and Christina Brown; one son-in-law Gene Edwards.
She will be dearly missed.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday February 27, 2012 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Chaplin Donald Bebout officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 800 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Herrin City Cemetery.
