ARIETTA E. ROACH
Johnston City–Arietta E. Roach 89, of Johnston City passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 8:45 A.M. at the Mt. Vernon Health Care Center.
Services will be held at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Wednesday June 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Frankie Starrick officiating. Entombment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Arietta was born on January 4, 1921 in Johnston City, the daughter of Dudley and Rhoda (Shubert) Carroll. She married Joe Roach on June 9, 1949 in Marion. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2003.
Arietta was a Nurse working at S.I.U. Health Service for 20 years retiring in 1987. She attended the First Christian Church of Johnston City.
She is survived by one brother Dean Carroll and wife Lois of Johnston City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters, Leona, Janey, Mary, and Imogene; and 3 brothers, Ardell, Thomas, and Mervin.
