ARLOWYNE LEE CULPEPPER
Marion-Arlowyne Lee Culpepper 63, passed away at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at home.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2022, in the Spillertown Baptist Church in Spillertown with Pastor Bill Schell officiating. Burial will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday at the church. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on July 9, 1959 in Ottawa the daughter of Harold and Rosella (Courtney) Hubbell. She married Gary Wayne Culpepper Sr. on January 1, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2017.
She was a devout Christian. She was a member of Spillertown Baptist Church for many years. Her witness for Christ inspired her family, friends, and all those she would meet.
She graduated from Rend Lake Culinary Institute with an associate degree in Applied Science and Culinary Arts. She was a violist in the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra. She was a certified chef at Rend Lake Resorts. She was also a certified nursing assistant.
She is survived by a son John Cook and wife Amber of Marion; a daughter, Carlye Lill and husband Scott of Marion; six grandchildren, Kegan Peek, Aiden Peek, Mason Cook, Payton Cook, Khloey White, and Remington Cook; brothers and sisters, Juanita Forth, Arlinda Shuck, Roy Hubbell, Marlene Noel, and Lara Pier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Hunter Peek.
