BERYL M. HOWERTON
Johnston City–Beryl M. Howerton 89, of Johnston City passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 2:28 P.M. at Parkway Manor in Marion.
Services will be held at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Monday October 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Keith Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in the Boner Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Beryl was born on May 14, 1921 in Marion the daughter of Bill and Lydia (Ferges) Henderson. She was first married to Rudolph Campbell in 1938 and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1971. She later married Orval "Fat" Howerton in 1972. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2005.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Johnston City.
She is survived by a daughter, Norma Ranchino of Marion; two grandchildren, Kevin Ranchino and wife Sara of Herrin, and Lori Ferguson and husband Kevin of Marion; four great grandchildren, Amanda Ranchino, Kyle Ranchino, Tyler Ferguson, and Hannah Ferguson; and a sister-in-law, Mary Henderson of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joe and Earl Henderson; and a half sister, Mae "Tot" Walker.
