BETTY JEAN CHILDERS
Marion-Betty Jean Childers, 68 of Marion, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Harrisburg Medical Center.
Betty was born December 1, 1945 in Murphysboro the daughter of Herbert and Edith (Morefield) Cantrell. Se married Donald Richard Childers on March 4, 1966 in Murphysboro.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by 4 children, Doug Childers and wife Mary of Johnston City, Rebecca Earheart of Marion, Gary Childers and wife Carrie of Rosiclare, Melissa Springhorn husband John of DeSoto; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Larry Cantrell and wife Sandy of Sand Ridge; 2 sisters, Gloria Jones and husband Ralph of Murphysboro and Ethel "Dude" Shadowen and husband Fred of Elkville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 4 brothers.
Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Cindy Freeland officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
