BETTY J. EVERLY

Marion–Betty J. Everly 76, of Marion, formerly of Johnston City passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 3:25 P.M. at her family home.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Thursday December 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Don Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon till 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Betty was born on June 22, 1933, in Carterville, the daughter of Claire and Anna (Holoman) Jennings. She married Harry A. Everly on March 17, 1951 in Marion. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2006.

She was a member of The Church of God of West Frankfort. She was a Sunday School Teacher and The Women's Missionary Band Leader of the church.

She is survived by three children, Ricky Everly of DuQuoin, Diana Adams and husband Vincent of Marion, and Matthew Everly and wife Desiree' of Decatur; six grandchildren, Theresa Boyt and husband Ben, Sherry Beers and husband Jason, Tim Everly and wife Raven, Shawn Everly, Lisa Everly, and Heather Everly; two step-grandchildren, Brittany and Skyler Holden; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Steven Bradford Everly; and nine brothers and sisters.
