BETTY JOE FOWLER

Marion-Betty Joe Fowler, 79 passed away at 6:51 P.M. Sunday September 2, 2018 in the Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday September 6, 2018 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Danny Norman officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Betty was born on April 22, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Leonard C. and Carrie (Lowe) Meeks. She married Albert Fowler who preceded her in death.

Betty was of the Christian Faith. She loved cooking, singing, camping, fishing, and to color.

She is survived by four children, Carroll Rose of Marion, Helena Hill of Johnston City, Peggy Husband of Johnston City, and Nick Vojvodich of Marion; twelve grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and two dogs, Albert and Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Elouise King.
