BETTY L. LEE

Carbondale–Betty L. Lee 93 passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 5:30 A.M. at Century Assisted Living in Carbondale.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday April 24, 2021, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with John Dobbins officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Betty was born on May 2, 1927 in West Frankfort, the daughter of Harry and Bessie (Odle) Engram.  She married William Douglas Lee on October 19, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1976.

Betty was a member of the Lakeland Baptist Church of Carbondale. She was a book keeper and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, William Jeffrey Lee and wife Pamela of Ballwin, MO and Michael Douglas Lee and wife Kim of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Ethan Douglas Lee and wife Sierra, Rachael Raven Presson, Savanna Jean Lee and husband Long Bui, Madison Page Lee and Aaron Michael Lee and fiancée Allissa Johnson; great grandchildren, Braxton, Drake, and Gracie; and one sister, Barbara Maroscher and husband Gus of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jane Moake; brothers, Tom Engram, Gilbert Engram, Eugene Engram.
