BEVERLY JOAN SKYLES

Johnston City–Beverly Joan Skyles 81 passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 12:00 midnight at Home.

Services will be held at the St. Paul's Catholic Church Johnston City on Wednesday November 4, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Brian Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City.

Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Joan was born on June 25, 1939 in Alpena, MI the daughter of Donald Shenk and Ida L. (Liske) Rounds. She was married to Ernest William Skyles Jr. on January 25, 1939 in Detroit, MI and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2006.

She was a retired L.P.N. having worked for Ray White Care Center for 7 years where she was director of nurses. She then worked for Dr. Javed for over 22 years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church. In years past she was an avid golfer at Stardust Golf Course.

She is survived by a nieces and nephews, James D. Swartzentrover and wife Beverly, Leslie Shenk and wife Kari, Leland Shenk and wife Angie, Michael Machel, Renee Machel; sister/niece, Katherine Machel and husband Stephen; many great and great-great, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Evered Rounds; brother, Donald Shenk; sister, Patricia Shehorn; nieces and nephews, Keith Swartzentrover, Phillip Swartzentrover, and Carrie Clark.
