BILLY JOHN TICER

Johnston City–Billy John Ticer 69, of Johnston City, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 7:14 A.M. at his family home.

There will be no services. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Billy was born on August 25, 1948, in Murphysboro, the son of William Robert and Alma Eileen (Mezo) Ticer. He married Margie Maxine (Phelps) on August 4, 1981 in Williamson County. She survives.

Billy was a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by 2 sons, Troy Gonzalez and wife Leslie of Johnston City, and Brian Gonzalez of Johnston City, 2 daughters, Juanita Gonzalez of Johnston City and Sherri Teffertiller and husband Rodney of Johnston City; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Ruth Dunning, Anna Dunning, Jeanie Hill, Tina Skiles, and Debbie Stilley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 5 brothers, Jerry, Donnie, Jeff, Richard, and Robert Ticer.
