Brian Lee Sloan, 57 passed away on October 25, 2017. He was born on April 15, 1960 in Oak Park, IL. Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Kent Sloan and his father, Bill James Sloan, respectively. Brian is survived by his mother, Mary Claudine Sloan; his sister, Sandra Dale Sloan; his brother-in-law, Jack Vertrice Williams, Jr.; his niece, Baily Lee Williams; and Baily's children, Rian, Bryton, and Mason Mcpheron. Also, he was a proud member of the Sloan Family from Johnston City, IL, and the James Family from "south of" Marion, IL.
Brian honorably served in the United States Army and made his living doing construction work all over the United States. Brian was a smart, kind, humorous, and thoughtful person and quietly lived his life by his own rules. In final thought, Brian was deeply loved by his family and will be forever missed.
A graveside service will be held in early spring 2018 at the Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home is in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
