CHARLES RAY "PAP" SPENCER
Johnston City-Charles Ray "Pap" Spencer 62, of Johnston City passed away at 1:35 P.M. on Monday, June 23, 2014 at his home.
There will be no services. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
Charles was born on July 29, 1951 in Danville the son of Ray and Sadie (Brewer) Spencer. He married Marilyn Kay (Lutz) on June 3, 1991 in Danville. She survives.
Charles was a self employed carpenter. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always there to help someone.
He is survived by a step-son, Gary Miller and wife Merita of Marion; a grandson that he raised, Joshua Miller and Fiancée Heather of Marion; two daughters, Cindy and Shawn Spencer; two brothers, Larry Spencer and wife Debra of Johnston City, and Darryl Spencer of Sanderson, FL .
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Anita Spencer.
