Stroud, Christopher N.

Chris passed away in his home on Friday, October 26, 2018, at the age of 58 years.

Chris is survived by his children, Josh and Jayma Stroud, Jake and Tasha Stroud, Jessica Stroud, Joe Stroud, and Jon Stroud, by his brother, Scott Stroud, by his longtime companion, Sue Derusha, by his stepchildren, Heather Derusha, Shawn Derusha, and Tina (Derusha) Vaile, and by his grandchildren, Chase, Emerli, Hunter, Jaxyn, Kara, Kelsey, Mason, Micahya, Ren, and Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Stroud, his mother, Dorothy (Davis) Buttrum, and two brothers, Rick and Jeff Stroud.

Chris worked as a truck driver and owned and operated Stroud's Mobile Home Transport for 20 years. He was a longtime member of the Buccaneer's Club in Johnston City, IL. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses, and living a simple life.

Services will be held at Number Eight Cemetery, at 2 PM, Friday, November 2. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
