Connie Sue Morris Testory, 83, of Johnston City, Illinois, passed away January 14, 2021 in Cedar Park, Texas.

She was born March 25, 1937 in Whiteash, Illinois, to William Lloyd and Grace Frew Morris. Connie was raised in Whiteash and was a 1954 graduate of Johnston City Township High School. She married Jim Mills and they had two children, Donna and Dane. In 2005 she married her high school crush, Monie (Bud) Testory. Connie worked for many years as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed crafts, home decorating, playing cards, sewing, crochet, and "civilized" camping. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and taught vacation bible school there while in high school. She was the youngest member and the last president of the Happy Hearts Club of Whiteash, which was founded by her mother and friends in 1937 to promote fellowship and goodwill.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud; her sister, Ruth Morris Beasley; and her brothers, Vernon Ray Morris and Don Morris; her son-in-law, George Costa; daughter-in-law, Connie J. Mills; grandson, Shane Costa; and cousin and friend, Joy Castleman Willhite, Salem, Oregon (formerly of Johnston City, Illinois).

Connie is survived by her daughter, Donna Mills Costa, of Leander, Texas; son, Dane Mills and wife, Joan, of Granite City, Illinois; Grandchildren: Holly Costa deNeergaard (Pete) of Leander, Texas; Michael Costa (Diana) of Buford, Georgia; Alyssa Costa of Naples, Florida; Andrew Costa of San Antonio, Texas; Lee Costa (Brandi) of Havana, Florida; and Katie Costa Fujita (Marcio) of Leander, Texas; Stephanie Smith (Jeff) of Woodriver, Illinois; Seth Ottwell (Ashley), of Murphysboro, Illinois; Great-grandchildren: SPC Nicholas deNeergaard, Steven deNeergaard, Samuel Costa, Thomas Costa, Joseph Costa, Tyler Costa, Luiza Ramos, Ana Bella Costa, Emma Costa, Benjimin Costa, Zachary Costa, Jacob Costa, Leora Costa, Brooklyn Costa, Brody Costa, Tyler Fujita, Natalia Fujita, Ava Fujita, Noah Smith, Landon Smith, Bella Smith, Brandon Ottwell, Violet Ottwell, and Claire Ottwell; great-great-granddaughter, Maria Joana Ramos; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Friday March 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Don Eberhardt officiating. Burial will be in the Brushy Cemetery in Harco. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
