DAVID CHARLES IMHOFF

David Charles Imhoff passed away on Sunday, November 3rd at 10:45am at the VA. Hospital without pain and holding hands with his son and daughter. He was 60 years old.

David was born in Michigan on February 24th, 1964, to Donald and Mary Imhoff. He was a JCHS graduate in 1982 and enlisted in the US army for 8 years where he was stationed in Fort Devens MA, Berlin, Germany, and Vint Hill Farms, VA. He was a great dad, gramps, and friend.

He was a semi-truck driver for over 30 years and drove for companies Henderson Trucking, Maverick, Melton, Landstar, Prime, and then started Imhoff Trucking LLC.
He visited every state in the US during his trucking days excluding Alaska and met all kinds of people and made long lasting friends.  Although he loved his time on the road, when he was home, he enjoyed being with his friends and especially his kids.  He loved visiting Las Vegas and took many of his loved ones there.  He always made sure everyone had the best time no matter the situation.  To know him was to love him as he was fun, smart, down to earth, and had the best sense of humor, even up into his last days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Imhoff, his brother Steve, and his sister Donna.
He leaves behind his daughter Jade, sons Drew and Derek, granddaughter Davani, as well as several very close friends.
He will be extremely missed by everyone.

Special thank you to the V.A. Palliative Care, the E.R. and hospital, and the C.L.C. workers, nurses, and doctors for being exceptionally wonderful and caring the entire road.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Marion VA for hospice care.

Services will be held on Thursday November 7, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Brad Dexter officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with military rites conducted by the Marion V.F.W. and American Legion. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
