DEBORAH ANN CLANAHAN
Johnston City–Deborah Ann Clanahan, 61, of Johnston City passed away at 7:12 A.M. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her family home.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Ken Hilliard and Rev. Matthew Caraway officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Deborah was born on October 18, 1951 in Carbondale the daughter of James Earl and Charlotte B. (Pearce) Hillard. She married Edward E. Clanahan on September 9, 1972 in Marion. He survives.
Deborah worked at Bantera Bank in Marion in loan administration for 17 years. She was a life member of V.F.W. Auxiliary in Marion. She was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church of Johnston City.
She is survived by two children, Christy Caraway and husband Mark of Carterville, and Leslie Gonzalez and husband Troy of Johnston City; a granddaughter, Taylor Gonzalez; a brother, Ken Hilliard and wife Helen of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Cindy Gibbons and husband Pearl of Marion, and numerous, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Leroy and Ruby Clanahan; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Haskell Hunter.
