DELMAR "TREE" DUANE ROGERS

Thompsonville–Delmar "Tree" Duane Rogers 86 of Thompsonville passed away at 3:02 A.M. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday August 31, 2016, in the County Line Church east of Johnston City with Pastor Kenny McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the County Line Cemetery east of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home.

Tree was born on August 17, 1930, in Williamson County the son of Arvel and Ellen (Rains) Rogers.

Tree was a truck driver. He was a veteran of Korea proudly serving in the Army.

He is survived by two sons, Deon Rogers of Thompsonville, and Don Rogers of Thompsonville; five daughters, Debra Reed and husband John of Troy, MO, Marilyn Inboden and husband Jeff of Johnston City, Ruth Ann Rogers of Johnston City, Sue Ellen Derusha of Pittsburg, and Vicky Wade and husband Danny of Steelville; a sister, Betty Jane Summers of Boling Brook; and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ricky Rogers; a granddaughter, Karen Jo Smiley; three brothers, James Lloyd Rogers, Floyd Dean Rogers, and Arvel Dale Rogers; and a sister, Ruby Lois Rogers.
