DELORIS "DEE" BIRD
Herrin-Deloris "Dee" Bird, 53, of Herrin, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Monday August 6, 2012 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday August 10, 2012 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Funeral home.

Dee was born on November 1, 1958 in Chicago. She married Roger Dale Bird on March 20, 1998 in Herrin. He Survives.

Dee was the owner/operator of the Avon Beauty Center in Marion.

She is survived by her grandmother, Vivian Rumsey of Herrin; her parents Kenny and Sue Clendenin of Herrin; Her husband of Herrin; one daughter, Cassie Jeralds and husband Ryan of Herrin; one son, Josh Lindsey of Herrin; three step-sons, Jon Bird and wife Kristy of Herrin, Jeffrey Bird and wife Sanya of Aurora, CO, and Justin Bird and wife Amanda of Herrin; eight grandchildren, Maddie Jeralds, Brennan Jeralds, Gavin Thompson, Sebastian Housben, Adriana Bird, Brandon Stahl, Andrew Bird, and Katelyn Bird; two brothers, Charles Murphy and wife Jean of St. Charles, MO and Kenny Ray Clendenin and wife Dawn of Energy; two sisters, Jemmia Coleman and husband Chuck of Herrin and Jada Frick of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles "Chick" Rumsey; a nephew Charlie Murphy; and an infant son, James Kenneth Lindsey.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who always could put a smile on your face. She will be greatly missed.
