DELOYDE LITTON
De Loyde Litton, 88 passed away on February 3, 2013 in Carbondale, Illinois.

DeLoyde was born on June 10, 1924 in Arkansas the son of Wilse and Lela (Vitatoe) Litton. He married Eva Moroni of Johnston City, Illinois on September 18, 1944. She survives.

DeLoyde and Eva enjoyed living in Johnston City and later in Carbondale. DeLoyde was one of fourteen children. He was preceded in death by ten brothers and one sister. He leaves two remaining siblings: Kip Litton, of Johnston City, Illinois and Juanita Spears of West Frankfort, Illinois.

DeLoyde was a fun and gregarious man. He enjoyed life and his family.
Daughter Donna Litton Manering and son-in-law Greg Manering of Carbondale remain along with grandchildren Chad Manering and wife Kathy of Hoover, Alabama and their children, Claire and Carter. Grandson Tyson Manering, resides in Murray, Kentucky. Son Gale Litton, Ocala Florida and his children Brent Litton and Jackie Rolape survive along with their children and grandchildren. There are also numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grandnephews.

The family wishes to thank all of the many friends, family and caregivers who enriched DeLoyde's life throughout the years.

DeLoyde was owner of the Johnston City Phillips 66 Station until 1965. He was also owner of the Phillips 66 Station in Carbondale, Illinois until approximately 1969. During his later years, he was employed as a car salesman by Vic Koenig, Executive Cars and Jim Pearl in Carbondale. He enjoyed reminiscing with former customers about the cars that they bought from him. DeLoyde never met a stranger and enjoyed everything he did. He loved singing and listening to others sing and was especially fond of gospel music.

Services for DeLoyde will be at the Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, Illinois. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 with services beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

Any donations for DeLoyde Litton should be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 320 East Walnut, Suite A, Carbondale, IL 62901, in honor of his wife who suffers from the illness.
