DENNIS KEITH JURCY
West Frankfort-Dennis Keith Jurcy 62, of West Frankfort passed away at 12:10 P.M. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 13, 2014, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Charles Jennings officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Dennis was born on February 11, 1952 in Chicago the son of Henry and LaVerne (Ham) Jurcy. He married Vickie (Emerick) on November 2, 1999 in Chicago. She survives.

Dennis worked in marketing and was a Bear's, Cubs and Notre Dame Fan. He was a perfectionist.

He is survived by 4 children, Bryan Jurcy of Herrin, Dennis Jurcy Jr. and wife Tonika of Hurst, Heather Casanova of Johnston City; and Rebecca Roberts and husband Kenny of Johnston City; 4 step-children, Tom Ross and wife Jill of LA Porte, IN, Anita Ross of La Porte IN, Ken Ross of La Porte,IN, and Keith Ross of La Porte, IN; 9 grandchildren, Dillon, Becca, Jayda, Nevaeh, Jerica, Jerrin, Zander, Zach, and Chelsey; 8 step-grandchildren, Blake, Madisyn, Ty, Evelyn, Wyatt, Emma, Paxton, and Kennedy; a life long friend, Judy (Jurcy) Engelhardt of Johnston City; a sister, Christina Akers and husband Tommy of Alabama; nephews, Seth and Caleb Willis; and two dogs, Bear and Max.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Fernando Casanova; and a grandmother Helen Jurcy.
