DENNIS L. MODGLIN
Johnston City-Dennis L. Modglin 87, of Johnston City, passed away at 2:00 A.M. on Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday September 14, 2015, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

Dennis was born on July 31, 1928 in Johnston City the son of William Thomas and Gertrude Elizabeth (Smith) Modglin.

Dennis first worked for Hiram Walker, then auto body repair for Don Ernfelt; and finally the City of Johnston City. He enjoyed fishing and hunting squirrels.

He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Hopper of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Ramona Weiland and husband Brett, Kenneth Hopper and Amanda Ryker; great grandchildren, Kali Hopper and Daniel Buckman, Katrina Hopper and Steven Mathis, Victoria Smith, Jordyn Weiland, Paige Weiland, Rebecca Hopper, Sahvannah Hopper, and Logan Hopper; great-great grandchildren, Izabella Buckman, Matthew Buckman, Timothy Buckman, and Carter Mathis; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Glen, Charles, Carroll, Roy, Edward, and infant Jackie; sisters, Helen Looney, Mildred Warren, Oneida McNeil, Mary Lou Smith.
