DIANA K. BAYLES

Johnston City–Diana K. Bayles, 68 of Johnston City passed away at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her family home.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday September 10, 2013, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery of West Frankfort. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Diana was born on January 1, 1945, in West Frankfort, the daughter of Evan and Mary K. (Lacey) Overturf.

Diana was very out going and did a lot for her community.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Williams of Johnston City, Dawn Fries of Herrin, and Melanie Miller and fiancé Steve Hastings of Johnston City; one son, Jamie "Shark" Williams and wife Heidi of Johnston City.; grandchildren, Dakota, Sydney, and Elektra Thompson, Destiny and Shawn Wiggins, Danielle and Jason Bauer, Chelsea Frost, Elaney Hand, and Carley Orlovich; seven great grandchildren; and one brother, Jeff Overturf and wife Nancy of West Frankfort.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Philip Fries; a sister, Cindy Smothers; a brother, Philip Overturf; and by her long time companion for 26 years, Edward "J.R." Wiseman.
