DONALD RAY IMHOFF
Johnston City–Donald Ray Imhoff 79, of Johnston City, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1:01 P.M. at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Donald was born on September 9, 1931 in Murphysboro the son of Henry L. and Lillian M. (Tuthill) Imhoff. He married Mary E. (Dunn) on January 19, 1951 in Chicago. She survives.
Donald graduated Johnston City High School in 1950. He then entered the service and retired from the Navy as a Master Chief HMC serving from 1950 to 1972 and he served during the Korean War. After retiring he was the administrator for MURSI for ten years. He was a 50 year member of the Lake Creek Masonic Lodge #729 of Johnston City.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Imhoff of Johnston City; one daughter, Donna Marie Imhoff of Energy; one son, David C. Imhoff of Johnston City; three grandchildren, Jade D. Imhoff, Drew C. Imhoff, and Derek C. Imhoff; and one brother, Gary Imhoff of Johnston City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve Imhoff; and one brother, Bill Imhoff.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday June 28, 2011, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Ted A. Hartley officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with graveside military rites conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion, and Illinois Army National Guard. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with Masonic Rites conducted at 7:00 P.M.
