DORICE MARIE GURSKY

Marion-Dorice Marie Gursky, 68, of Marion, passed away at 7:55 A.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Keith Fletcher officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Dorice was born on January 6, 1945 in Carlsbad, NM the daughter of Marion and Dovie (McNew) Darnell. She married Richard A. "Raybob" Gursky on November 19, 1998 in Williamson County. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2001.

Dorice last worked as a nurse and was also a beautician.

She is survived by a daughter, Dana Moore and husband Johnny Bob of Johnston City; a son, Trevor Woody of West Frankfort; three grandchildren, Chelsa Moore, Amanda Henderson-Woody, and Dylan Ray Summers; one great grandson, Ayden; one brother, Marvin Darnell; and her loving dog, B.B.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-parents, Paul and Mary Darnell; eight brothers and four sisters.
