DOUGLAS DALE DAWES
Johnston City-Douglas Dale Dawes, 65 of Johnston City passed away at 11:27 P.M. Sunday November 22, 2015 at the Westside Rehab and Health Care in West Frankfort.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday November 25, 2015 at the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Murman &Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements
Doug was born on June 22, 1950 in Herrin the son of Robert Lee and Betty Jean (Snedden) Dawes.
Doug was a retired forklift operator working at Maytag for 38 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing pool.
He is survived by one son, Douglas Dale Dawes Jr. of Hurst; one brother, Randy Benjamin Dawes and wife Melody of Johnston City; one sister Jerry Thomas and husband Brian of Marion; a sister-in-law, Connie Dawes of Johnston City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bobby Gene Dawes and Garry Wayne Dawes.
