ED DEAN CONAWAY

Marion–The family of Ed Dean Conaway 59, is saddened to announce Ed passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Herrin Hospital.

Ed was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, and a great friend to many. Ed was a mechanic for many years. His hobbies included being at the drag strip, riding his side by side at mud parks, spending time with family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, late wife Angel Conaway, grandson, Hunter Haws, and mother-in-law, Nancy Haws.

Survivors include his wife Dawn Conaway; father-in-law, Cleve Haws; sons, Ricky Smith and wife Kylee and Edward Conaway Jr.; 2 brothers, John Conaway and Chad Conaway; step-daughter, Felecia (Nick) Glaze; granddaughter, Sadie Smith; and sisters-in-law, Crystal Haws and Trish Haws.

Cremation rites have been accorded per his request.

A celebration of life will be conducted with family and friends at a later date to be scheduled.

Memorial contributions can be made to family or sent to the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City.
