EDDIE WAYNE WILLIAMS

Johnston City–Eddie Wayne Williams 73, of Johnston City passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 8:02 A.M. at home.

A memorial service will be held at Third Baptist Church in Marion on Saturday February 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Scott Kallem officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Marion V.F.W./American Legion and Illinois Army National Guard. Family will welcome family and friends at 10:00 A.M. at the church.
Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Eddie was born on March 18, 1936, in Benton, the son of Oscar and Irene (Hefner) Williams.

He is survived by an ex-wife, Carol (Bollinger) Williams; four children, Gary Williams and wife Tammy of Pine Ridge, SD, Duane Williams and wife Deanna of Golconda, LaDonne McShannon and husband Stu of Marion, and Cynthia Grove and husband Greg of West Frankfort; eight grandchildren, Duane Williams Jr., Charles Williams, Amy and husband Jerry McNulty, G. Michael Williams, Andrea and husband Kelly Hester, Nathanael Peeler, Kristen Gray, and Lyndsay Grove; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Norma Jean Bollinger of Fort Pierce, FL, John Robert "Bob" Williams of Dekalb, Linda Sue Aldridge and husband Kenny of Dixon, Charles Williams and wife Janis of Valier, Sharon Mabry and husband Ron of Valier, Carl Williams and wife DeeAnn of Valier, Karen Sanson and husband Jim of Marion, and Brenda Hewlett and husband Jim of Royalton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
