ELLA LEE MILES
Johnston City-Ella Lee Miles, 97, of Johnston City, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at 7:25 A.M. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 in the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Frankie Starrick and Pastor Bob Nolen officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ella was born on July 25, 1916 in Thurber, TX the daughter of Thomas and Carrie (Ashcraft) Batey. She married Ottie Dean Miles on September 12, 1935 in McCleansboro. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1987.

Ella was a homemaker. She loved to spend time with her grandson. She made the most delicious Apple Cakes. She was a member of All Nations Church of God in Johnston City, her church was her life.

She is survived one daughter, Jean Shukites and husband Charles of Johnston City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, John Charles Shukites; and three brothers.
