ELMA "TINA" CHRISTINE PRINCE

Johnston City-Elma "Tina" Christine Prince 75 passed away at 1:34 P.M. Wednesday May 10, 2023 in Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday May 16, 2023, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Gertrude Rohan officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Tina was born in Chicago on February 9, 1948 the daughter of Jack and Zora (Allen) LaRue. In the spring of 1966, she met the love of her life and the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Elvis Carol Prince, who she would later marry on September 24, 1966. They would later relocate to Southern Illinois in the 90's.

Tina was such a giving person. She did years of volunteer work for the Salvation Army and the Johnston City Mana Mission. She never met a stranger and always wanted those around her to always be happy and never hungry. Until her passing, Tina enjoyed spending all of her time with her girls, grandkids, and great grandchildren as often as possible.

She is survived by her husband, Elvis; three girls, Tammy Bullock, Iva Bush, and Chrissy Hernandez and husband Tony; brothers, Jeff LaRue and wife Linnea, Jerald LaRue and wife Sherrie; thirteen grandchildren, Anthony, Mimi, Ava, Eva, Aaron, Jojo, Maria, Stanley, Nina, Jermay, and Cozmos; as well as nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jackie LaRue; sisters, Sharon Lane and Lorraine Saylor; granddaughter, Angel Marie; grandson, Angel Junior; and son-in-law, Joe Bullock.
