Esther J. Frick

Johnston City- Esther J. Frick 92, passed away on Friday February 14th, 2025, at 10:09am at the Herrin Hospital.

There will be a private family service with Pastor Robbey Smith, Redemption Church of Johnston City officiating. Murman and Wilson Funeral home in Johnston City will oversee the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity, the JC Manna Mission of Johnston City.

Esther was born on August 18, 1932, in Johnston City, the daughter of Joseph and Olga (Latinis) Daniels. She married Robert L. Frick on October 8th, 1949, who preceded her in death on August 12th, 2010.

Esther was a homemaker, a dressmaker, and devout Christian (member of Washington Ave. Baptist Church), who loved her family very much. She enjoyed walking, biking, camping, and caring for children. Throughout her life, she watched over and provided home care for many generations of children and family members. She loved spending time with kids and family and was also an avid animal lover.

She is survived by one son, Joseph (Ann) Frick of Johnston City; two grandchildren, Michael Frick of Johnston City and David (Tonya) Frick of Johnston City; five great-grandchildren, Hunter (Christian) Dawes, Lily Frick, Dalton Frick, Logan Frick, and Talyn Frick; and one great-great-grandchild, Rowen Dawes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Olga Daniels, her sister Esther Daniels, and husband Robert Frick.

The Frick family would like to give special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses, therapists, and caregivers of the Herrin Hospital and Residential Home Health, and Primary Physician Dr. Eric Graham for their dedication and excellent care of Esther.
