ETHEL M. BARHAM

Johnston City–Ethel M. Barham, 96, of Johnston City passed away at 4:25 P.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Heritage Health in Beardstown.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will be in the Barham Cemetery of Marion. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ethel was born on December 2, 1916 in Ferges the daughter of William and Mary (Crenshaw) Trout. She married Fred A. Barham on April 15, 1939 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2003.

Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Johnston City.

She is survived by one son, Bill Barham and wife Marla of Johnston City; one daughter, Wanieta Ament and husband Art of Rushville; a daughter-in-law, Connie Barham of Herrin; six grandchildren, Raymond Barham and wife Dana of Johnston City, Jeff Barham and companion Mary of Johnston City, Steve Ament and wife Kristi of Rushville, Kristen Bruns and husband Bryan of Frankfort, Darin Barham of Johnston City, and Gavin Barham and wife Trista of Johnston City; eight great grandchildren, Brittany Barham, Kalie Barham, Joseph Barham, Cameron Bruns, Payton Bruns, Devin Bruns, Logan Bruns, and Amy Barham; two great-great grandchildren, Gracee and Hayden; sister-in-law, Peggy Trout; sister-in-law, Opal Finley; brother-in-law, Paul Barham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerry Lee Barham; and two brothers, Earl Trout and Clyde Trout.
