EUGENE Herman Biehl

Cedar Grove–Eugene Herman Biehl, 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 28, 2021, at 5:12 P.M. while surrounded by his family at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was well loved by his wife, 5 children, and 12 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday July 2, 2021, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Randy Jones officiating and burial will be held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Eugene was born on February 20, 1939 in Williamson County, the son of Willie H. and Esther (Wohlwend) Biehl. He married Martha Louise (Anderson) on May 6, 1966, at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church in Johnston City, where they were both long-time members. Eugene was an electrical motor winder.  He was also a member of the Illinois Farm Bureau and the IBEW.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years of Cedar Grove; a son, Stephen Biehl and wife Monica of Magnolia, TX; daughters, Cindy Jean and husband Gary of Marion, Janet Thornton and husband Duane of Johnston City, Kathy Johnson and husband Daniel of Johnston City; a son, James Dallapiazza and wife Ashley of Washington, IL; grandchildren, Ashley Biehl of Indianapolis, IN, Maddie Biehl of Magnolia, TX, Nathan Jean of Bloomfield, IN, Christian Jean of Marion, Joshua Thornton of Johnston City, Brianna Thornton of Johnston City, Kaci Thornton of Johnston City, Alex Johnson of Johnston City, Ben Johnson of Johnston City, Abby Johnson of Johnston City, Hannah Johnson of Johnston City, and Prenda Dallapiazza of Washington, IL; and Kennadi Warren of Johnson City who he loved as a granddaughter. He was also anticipating the arrival of his great grandson, Baby Boy Biehl of Indianapolis, IN, in August. He was also survived by a cousin, Clarence Greeney; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Loren and Mildred Anderson, Linda Jeter, Beverly and J.C. Jones, and James (Jim) and LuAnn Anderson; numerous nephews and nieces; and great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a step-mother, Reathel M. (Bowyer) Biehl; baby brother, Robert; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul (Pete) and Fern Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Lowell Jeter.
