CARBONDALE-Eva Moroni Litton, 91, passed away on December 20, 2015.
Eva was born in Johnston City on April 12, 1924, the daughter of Emil and Louisa
(Garvaglia) Moroni. She married DeLoyde Litton of Johnston City, Illinois on
September 18, 1944 and he preceded her in death in February, 2013.
Eva was a retired accountant who resided in Johnston City until moving to
Carbondale in 1965. She enjoyed spending her time reading, sewing and
completing crossword puzzles. Eva especially loved being with her husband,
children and grandchildren.
Daughter Donna Litton Manering and son-in-law Greg Manering of Carbondale
remain along with grandchildren Chad Manering and wife Kathy of Hoover,
Alabama and their children, Claire and Carter. Grandson Tyson Manering,
resides in Murray, Kentucky. Son Gale Litton, Ocala, Florida and his children
Brent Litton and Jackie Billingsley survive along with their children and
grandchildren. There are also numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and
grandnephews.
Eva is survived by a sister, Grace Calcaterra of Herrin and in-laws Kip Litton, of
Johnston City, Illinois and Juanita Spears of West Frankfort, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lena Fantozzi, Mary
Thomas and Edith Leek; three brothers, Carl Moroni, Carlo Moroni, and John
"Shorty" Moroni.
The family wishes to thank all of the many friends, family and caregivers who
enriched Eva's life throughout the years.
There will be a private family service with Murman-Wilson Funeral Home
assisting the family with arrangements.
