EVA LOUISE ROBERTS

Johnston City-Eva Louise Roberts 97, passed away at 6:50 A.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Stonebridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Benton.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday February 10, 2023 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Andy Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Barham Cemetery of Marion. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Eva was born on October 24, 1925 in Williamson County the daughter of Edwin and Lillian (Davis) Richard. She married Leo Roberts on July 2, 1944. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1985.

Eva worked at Smoler's Dress Factory in Herrin and as a homemaker and house keeper. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and attending church.

Eva was survived by one son, Kevin Roberts and wife Karen of Johnston City; one brother and sister-in-law, Clarence Richard and wife Diane of Arcanum, OH; daughter-in-law, Beth Grenzler-Roberts of Johnston City; brothers-in-law, Dennis Kirk of Johnston City and Ralph Jennings of Johnston City; 9 grandchildren, Heather Roberts of West Frankfort, Tyson Roberts and Malinda Pierce of DuQuoin, Dana Restivo and husband Marty of Freeman Spur, Jared Roberts and wife Katy of Johnston City, Adina Roberts of Johnston City, Seth Roberts of Marion, Destiny Roberts and Eddie Pugh of Johnston City, Amanda Rodgers and husband Ryan of Marion, and Mandy Roberts and Aaron Morehead of Johnston City; and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons. Henry Roberts and Fred Roberts; 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry Richard and wife Corrine, Wayne Richard and wife June, Jack Richard and wife Barbara, Henry Richard and wife Winifred, Carl Richard and wife Mildred; five sisters, Mary Ellen (Ulysses) Grant, Alice Richard, Yvonne Kirk, Roberta Jennings, and infant sister, Brenda Richard.
