EVELYN C. AUSTIN
Marion-Evelyn C. Austin 95, of Marion passed away at 3:25 A.M. on Friday March 4, 2011 at the Marion Rehab and Nursing Center with her loving son by her side.
Services will be held on Sunday March 6, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home of Johnston City with Rev. Ray Long officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born on June 4, 1915 in Marion the daughter of Paul and Eva (Tindall) Corder.
She was a clerk and office manager for the State of Illinois and the Federal Government. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Marion.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Thomas Austin and wife Regina of Goreville and Gerald W. Durham and wife Jane of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Thomas Ryan Austin of Ft. Meyers, FL, Allison Leigh Austin of Ft. Meyers, FL, Jeff Durham of St. Louis, MO, and Christine Durham of Schaumburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy Ingram; and one brother, Paul E. "P.C." Corder J.R.
