F. ROBERT ETHERTON

Corinth–F. Robert Etherton, 88 of Corinth passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 2:56 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Saturday March 13, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Gary Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery east of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Robert was born on January 20, 1922 in Corinth, the son of Fred and May (Roberts) Etherton. He married Ruth (Kee) on September 19, 1942 in Jackson, MO. She preceded him in death on May 8, 2008.

Robert retired from CIPS and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Roberta Pitts of Goreville; eight grandchildren, LenaKay E. Wilson of Richmond, KY, Heath Lawrence of Marion, John Etherton of Herrin, Neily Campbell of Jacksonville, FL, Josh Lawrence of Johnston City, Rebecca Etherton of Marion, Robert Allen Etherton of Pittsburg, and Cheyenne Hall of Pittsburg; seven great grandchildren, Destinee and Zoe Campbell of FL, Kolten Wilson of KY, Hannah Laney of Herrin, Mia Lawrence of Johnston City, Max Etherton of Herrin, and Jaxten Wilson of KY; daughters-in-law and son-in-law, Donna and Scott Hall of Pittsburg and Kay Etherton of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, J. Fred Etherton and Randy Etherton.
