FORREST EUGENE TOLBERT

Marion–Forrest Eugene Tolbert 89, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 6:58 A.M. at home.

A private family service will be held at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg.

Forrest was born on September 23, 1933 in Marion the son of William and Ruth (Riley) Tolbert. He married Mary "Jane" (Mandrell) on August 30, 1950. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2018.

He was a coal miner. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by 3 sons, Ronald Tolbert and wife Cathy, Daryl Tolbert and wife Kathy, and Steve Tolbert and wife Joan; seven grandchildren, Shanna O'Bright, Tasha Tolbert, Jaime Tolbert and Dee Sanders, Chad Tolbert and wife Kelli, Keith Karcher, Jared Tolbert, and Rhea Korte; nine great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Sue Webb; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Mandrell and Dick Mandrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles Tolbert and wife Pat, James Tolbert, and William Jordan; three sisters, Geraldine Davis and husband Everett, Wanda Stone, and Myrtle Walker.
