GARY M. CLARK

Marion–Gary M. Clark passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 8:35 A.M. after a long illness at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

He married Jane Stroud on July 21, 1974. They had two children, Courtney Clark and Brian Clark and wife Amanda; four grandchildren, Blake Clark, Bailey Clark, Marlee (Yocum) Marks, Trevor Clark; one great grandchild, Gracen Clark; and one sister, Mary Clark Brown.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Clark; mother, Mae Clark; sister, Terri Lee Clark; brother, Stephen Clark; brother, Kevin Clark; and brother-in-law, Ron Brown.

Gary served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserves, and U.S. National Guard. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Williamson County Fire District. He loved to fish with his dear friend Richard and play cards and dominoes. He was a fun loving person and will be sadly missed by friends and family.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 23, 2019 at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Keith Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Creek Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion, and Army Funeral Honor's Burial Detail.
