Gary L. Droit, of Johnston City, Il.,

passed away on February 14, 2024 at home.  He was 81 years old.  He was the son of Sherman Droit and Maxine (Wilson) Droit (both deceased).  He graduated from JCHS in 1961.  Gary worked for many years for the National Cash Register Company as a technician.  He also worked for the Eldorado School District as an Information Technology technician.  Through the years he enjoyed reading and journaling.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Peebles) Droit of Herrin. Il., by his sons Rick Droit of Maranda, Il., Eric Droit of Decatur, Il., and Keith Droit of Japan, his brother David Droit of Phoenix, Az., and his sister Marilyn (Dave) Harper of West Frankfort, Il., and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Christopher Droit, and his brother and sister-in-law Jim and Nancy Droit from Phoenix, Az.
