GEORGE MORSEN LAND

Johnston City-George Land 89 of Buncombe passed away on Wednesday February 27, 2021 at 4:00 A.M. at home. He was born on October 8, 1931 in Johnston City, the son of Charles Eldrige and Myrtle Ann (Hill) Land.

George worked as a glaizer at the Marion Glass Company and also at the Mt. Vernon Glass Company. He loved his church and family. He was married to the love of his life Eunice Ferne (Tanner) for 71 years. She survives.

He is survived by three children; two daughters, Georgette (Land) Armes of Marion, Angela Land of Buncome; a son, Rick Land of Marion; six grandchildren, Scott James, Penny (James) Gove, Misty (Land) Shock, Christopher Land, Shannon (Dixon) Kerley, Sara (Dixon) Sparks; thirteen great grandchildren, Tehya Payne Land, Lexia Land, Lawson Land, Kash Land, Chanel James, Zephen James, Heaven James, Zander James, David James, John Stone, Cameron Shock, Savanna Kirley, and Owen Kirley.

A family service will be held Saturday February 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of God 1119 Newport Road, West Frankfort IL. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
