GLORIA SUE SLATER

Stiritz–Gloria Sue Slater 83 passed on Friday September 20, 2019 at 3:43 A.M. in her family home.

Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday September 22, 2019, in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Stephen Hudspath officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Gloria was born on February 1, 1936, in Stiritz, the daughter of Paul and Edith (Roberts) Collins. She married William "Bill" Slater on September 17, 1956 in Johnston City who preceded her in death on December 11, 2014.

Gloria was a homemaker. She enjoyed her flower garden, working in the yard, and spending time with her great grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Kim Slater of Johnston City; a grandson, Dak Slater and wife Tonya of Stiritz; three great grandchildren, Mikka, Dackery, and Tori; sister-in-law Rose Stallings; longtime friend Donna Curry; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Maddie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
