HAROLD DEAN SPILLER

Johnston City-Harold Dean Spiller, 66, of Johnston City passed away on Thursday, at 4:50 A.M. on December 18, 2014 in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 22, 2013, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Don Colson officiating. Burial will be in the Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

Harold was born on January 6, 1948 in Stiritz the son of Harold and Rosalie (Payne) Spiller. He married Sharon (Adkins) on May 3, 1966. She survives.

Harold worked for 17 years as a mine construction worker. He worked for Local Union 2117.

He is survived by two sons, Bobby Dean Spiller Sr. and wife Linda of Johnston City, and Jeff Spiller of Johnston City; 2 grandchildren, Bobby Dean Spiller Jr. of Marion, and Charles Dean Spiller of Johnston City; one great granddaughter, Olivia Grace Spiller of Johnston City; 2 sisters, Linda Jones of Marion, and Brenda Capps of Marion; nieces and nephews, Lisa Gibson, Connie Ezell, Karen, Tracy Hunter, Mark Jones, Marvin Mize, Mike Mize; and several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cindy Lynn Dawkins; grandparents, Velma and George Spiller and Matti and Noah Payne; a brother, Leland Spiller; a sister Charlotte Mize; a nephew, Allen Spiller; and an infant nephew, John Allen.
