JAMES GIBBS

West Frankfort-James Gibbs, 76, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at home.

Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Gibbs Bayless of Fort Gaines, Ga, and JoAnn  Walters of West Frankfort; grandchildren, Justin and Melissa Walters of West Frankfort, Derek Walters and wife Rose of Australia, Kristal and Ty Kazee-Lucero of Riverton, Wyoming, James Stout of Murphysboro, Carla Winters of Christopher, Zoey Bayless of Fort Gaines, GA, Brandi Gunter of Nashville, TN, Toni Riddle and husband Shawn of Herrin, Staci Dunfee of West Frankfort, Curtis Gibbs of Marion; fourteen great grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters, Freddie, Betty, Loretta, Wanda, Norma, Gary, Robert "Bob" and Eddie; and true love, Fay Aldridge Gibbs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Geneva Gibbs; three brothers, Freddy, Robert "Bob" and Eddie; one sister, Betty; one son, James Gibbs Jr.; and one grandchild, Mark  King Jr.

James loved to fish and spend time with his children and grandchildren. James was a good man that loved deeply and is going to be missed terribly by his family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home.
