JAMES C. PULSFORD

Johnston City–James C. Pulsford 67, of Johnston City passed away on Saturday January 16, 2010 at 6:41 P.M. at his family home.

Services will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City on Wednesday January 20, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. Ken Schaefer officiating. Entombment will be in the East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. conducted by Sr. Catherine Wellinghoff.

Memorials may be made to the Arrowhead Campground, Johnston City Library Computer Fund, Hospice of Southern Illinois, or to the St. Paul's Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

James was born on August 24, 1942 in Effingham the son of Harold and Ruth (Feldhake) Pulsford. He married Leona "Lea" (Gorenz) on February 24, 1962, in Altamont.

He retired from Norge/Maytag after 39 years as a Master Model Maker. He was a host of Arrowhead Campground, a past member of Johnston City Auxiliary Police Department, and a coach and officer for the Southern Illinois Junior Baseball League. He was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church and Johnston City Knights of Columbus #7989.

He is survived by his wife, Lea; two sons, Joe Pulsford and wife Cindy of Johnston City, and Jim Pulsford and wife Shawn of Damiansville; three grandchildren, Ariel, Kaley, and Garrett; one brother, Charles Pulsford of Effingham; and several nieces and nephews..

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gerald Pulsford.
