JANET ENGRAM

Johnston City–Janet Engram, 88 of Johnston City passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 1:03 A.M. at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Thursday April 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Carl Cottingham officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon till 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Janet was born on October 26, 1921 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Joe and Lavinia (Hoy) Thirlaway. She was married to Eugene H. Engram in April 1939. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1996.

Janet was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Engram and wife Myrna of Benton Harbor, MI, and John Robert Engram of Johnston City; one grandson, Jason Engram of Benton Harbor, MI; two sisters, Jane Bione of Herrin, and Norma Johnston of Marion; three sister-in-laws and two brother-in-laws, Betty Lee of Carbondale, Barbara and Gus Maroscher of Marion, Thomas Engram of Carbondale, and Betty O. Engram of Johnston City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert Thirlaway.
