JANICE NIX

Janice (Moake) Nix passed away on June 14, 2018. She was 73 years old, having left this life on the day of her birth. Janice was from the Devil's Kitchen area, having lived with her beloved husband, Henry "Tiney" Nix for many years surrounded by many dogwoods and beautiful natural woods. She was a dear friend to her neighbors and offered loving care to many of the cats who came looking for food. Janice and Tiney were dedicated members of the JayCee organization both locally and nationally. They enjoyed traveling and attended many conventions. Henry "Tiney" Nix proceeded her in death .

Janice was the daughter of William "Bill" Moake and Jane (Engram) Moake. Her parents and her brother, Steven "Bear" Moake, also predeased her.

In lieu of flowers, it was her request that donations be made to Washington Avenue Baptist Church of Johnston City or to the SIU Legal Clinic.

Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday June 17, 2018, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Barry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
