JAY LYNN GRANT

Johnston City-Jay Lynn Grant 67 passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at her family home.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday June 7, 2025, in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Greg Parker officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Jay was born on August 7, 1957 in Herrin the daughter of Everett and Jessie (Baker) Muir. She married Mickey Grant who preceded her in death.

She had a kind soul and a love for animals.

She is survived by a son, Everett Grant and wife Amy; 5 grandchildren, Cayden, Hayden, Logan, Isaac, and Adeline; 2 sisters, Mildred Becker and Donna Mallory; sister-in-law, Georgia Muir; a father-in-law, Eugene Grant; and several nieces, nephews, cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Earl Muir and Forrest Muir; a mother-in-law, Leilani Grant.
