JENNIE CALONNE

Johnston City–Jennie Calonne 86 of Johnston City passed away at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday November 3, 2011 at her family home.

She was born on November 29, 1924 in Johnston City.

She married Emile E. Calonne Jr. on November 21, 1945 in Johnston City, his wife of sixty years. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2006.

Survivors include three children, Jerome Calonne and wife Virginia of West Frankfort, Linda Bandy and husband Larry of Benton, and Marsha Murphy and husband Rick of Carbondale; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Calonne.

She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Sodality. She enjoyed playing ship captain and crew dice game, ping pong, and canasta on the computer. She enjoyed gardening.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday November 7, 2011 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City with Fr. Richard Mohr officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. There will be a visitation from 10:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the church. Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
