JIMMIE LEE MCREYNOLDS

Johnston City-Jimmie Lee McReynolds 82 passed away at 2:43 P.M. Sunday July 6, 2025 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday July 10, 2025 at the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City with Pastor Don Colson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. Thursday at the cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion and the Illinois Army Burial Detail.  Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmie was born on February 23, 1943 in Johnston City the son of James and Pauline (Roll) McReynolds. He married Jean Ann (Odum) who survives. They were married for 55 years.

He was a truck driver for Odum Concrete. He proudly served in the army during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by a daughter, Jamie Frentz and husband Marc of Ocean Springs, MS; a son, James McReynolds and wife Julie of Johnston City; grandsons, Colton and Chase McReynolds; two sisters, Shiela Lawrence and Paula Stucker; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Harlan, Kenneth, Lowell; sisters, Ada, Joyce, June.
