JODIE LEE (CARAWAY) BERRY

Johnston City–Jodie Lee (Caraway) Berry 35, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 7:07 P.M. in the Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2018 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. A private burial will held immediately after in the Lake Creek Cemetery in Johnston City with Pastor Steve Higgs officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Gift of Hope Transplant Service. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Jodie was born on January 16, 1983, in Carbondale, the daughter of Leah Annette Keister.

She was a property manager for Kopley Group Inc. She considered Nancy, Michelle, and Fotine her Chicago family.

She is survived by her parents, Leah Annette and Dean Keister; three sisters, Jamie (Dan) Kreuter, Jenna (James) Ellet, and Kristen Keister; grandmother, Brenda Fleming; an uncle, Rob Fleming; an aunt Lisa Murray; aunt, Julie Morris; an uncle, Bob Caraway; an aunt, Tami Sailly; a cousin, Mitchell Fleming; several nieces; a special friend, Tom Renoe and her dog, Jameson.

She was preceded in death by her papa, Charles Fleming; and aunt, Jennifer Fleming.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Jodie. She was such a special person. She loved her family and friends and they all loved her. Everyone has a story to tell about Jodie. Her sweetness and kindness will always be remembered.
